Instructions

- Add Egg and Vanilla: Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- Gradually Add Dry Ingredients: Slowly add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in Chocolate Chips and Cherries: Gently stir in the chocolate chips and cherries until evenly distributed.
- Chill the Dough: Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours) to prevent excessive spreading.
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
- Scoop and Bake: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between cookies.
- Bake: Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the edges are set and the centers appear slightly soft.
- Cool: Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
